On June 28, 2025, 68 SOLUTIONS – Legal & Travel successfully hosted the Teacher Hub Meetup in Hanoi, bringing together over 80 international educators from across the city and beyond. Designed as a community-centered event, this gathering was more than just a meetup — it was a celebration of passion, purpose, and the collective strength of teachers navigating life and work in Vietnam.
A Space for Connection and Shared Experience
From the very beginning, the energy in the room was undeniable. Educators, both new arrivals and long-term residents, gathered at B59 Coffee’s cozy second-floor venue, where check-in stations, personalized seat numbers, and welcoming gifts set the tone for a professionally organized yet heartfelt afternoon.

The event opened with a warm welcome from our host, Ms. Mariam Pourrahimi, followed by a soulful musical performance by Alvir Antoine, setting a joyful and relaxed atmosphere for everyone. Attendees were encouraged to connect with fellow teachers, share stories, and enjoy the sense of belonging to a wider, supportive community.
Real Talk on Teaching in Vietnam
One of the highlights of the meetup was the talk show session featuring two experienced educators – Dr. Robert Johnston and Mr. Rez Alexis DC. Together, they shared candid insights about their personal journeys as foreign teachers in Vietnam: the challenges, the growth, and the unique opportunities that come with the role.

This open conversation touched on topics in recruitment, and the evolving standards of professionalism in Vietnam’s education sector. With questions submitted in advance and addressed live on stage, participants found the session deeply relevant and empowering.
Legal Insights That Matter
Understanding how to work legally in Vietnam remains a key concern for many foreign teachers. In response to this, the event featured a Legal Talk led by Mr. Chris and Mr. Felix from 68 SOLUTIONS. Covering critical updates on Work Permits, Temporary Residence Cards (TRCs), visa extensions, and compliance regulations, this session equipped teachers with the knowledge and tools they need to stay protected and informed.

This segment was especially well-received, as attendees took notes, asked targeted questions, and left with a clearer sense of how to navigate Vietnam’s legal landscape as an expat educator.
Games, Networking, and Celebration
Between sessions, participants enjoyed tea breaks accompanied by live acoustic music from German JR Belandres, allowing for moments of networking and lighthearted exchange. The two mini-games — “Blend In or Be Out” and “Guess the Brand” — brought laughter, excitement, and even a little competition, with winners taking home fun gifts including Labubu dolls and eco water bottles.

To wrap up the event, a lucky draw offered 10 fantastic prizes, including service vouchers for visas, work permits, tax consultation, and even a $100 legal consultation sponsored by 68 SOLUTIONS. The room buzzed with excitement as numbers were called and winners were celebrated on stage.

A Growing Community with a Shared Purpose
More than anything, the Teacher Hub Meetup affirmed our belief that community is powerful. Teachers often face unique challenges when living abroad — from cultural adaptation to administrative hurdles — and events like this remind us that no one has to navigate those challenges alone.
At 68 SOLUTIONS, we’re committed not only to providing legal and immigration services, but also to nurturing a supportive ecosystem for those who dedicate their lives to education in Vietnam.
We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to every speaker, performer, partner, and teacher who made this event such a meaningful success. Your presence and participation remind us why we do what we do.

Stay tuned for our next Teacher Hub gathering — and until then, keep teaching, keep connecting, and know that 68 SOLUTIONS is here to support you every step of the way.
